When this company was still just an idea, we established a list of strict rules - promises to ourselves to make sure our company and our products always follow the earth-friendly philosophy of Seboni. These included rules detailing how our packaging must always be either reusable or compostable - not just biodegradable, but home compostable. We also only let our products consist of environmentally friendly, compostable ingredients.

Now that the idea of Seboni has been brought to life, we’re incredibly proud of how well we’ve stuck to the core tenets we started with. Our products are made with sustainably sourced, natural ingredients, and are home compost safe.

As Seboni grows and matures as a company, so too have our expectations for Seboni and earth-friendly excellence. While we’re proud of what we’re already doing, we recognize how much room we still have to improve our positive environmental impact even further.

We want to go Beyond Zero Waste. Our aim is to divert more waste from the landfill that we even produce. That means we’re finding uses for waste from other people and companies; we’re looking at cleaning and repurposing used cooking oil from restaurants for a future line of soaps. We’re taking cardboard waste from local companies (which would have been sent to the landfill), and we’re using it in our gardens for mulch and compost so we can grow our own herbs and flowers - and eventually, natural loofahs - to use in our Seboni Spa range of products.

Every choice we make echoes our promise to honor our Celtic heritage while embracing a path of sustainable transformation as we sow our seeds in the Midwest. We’re keeping true to those ancient principles that we have woven into Seboni - local, sustainable, and luxurious, for you and for the planet - and we’re bringing them into the modern day.

As a start-up, we’re still in the early stages of achieving our goals of going Beyond Zero Waste, but we’re happy to say that we’re doing right by us.
